traps

I visit a lot of tourist traps. I even live in one. I like Tourist traps. It used to be that I did my best to avoid them. But then I realized tourist traps are fun. You are always guaranteed to have a good time despite being totally unoriginal if you just let go. This is how I ended up in Winterberg, Germant. Winterberg is the place with the closest mountains to Holland. Well they are not real mountain mountains but if you are from a country as flat as the one I live in, anything bigger than a dune is considered a mountain. In the weekends this place attracts Dutch people like flies to rotten meat. The place is swarming with Dutch people, even the cash machines talk Dutch. or should I say especially the cash machines talk Dutch. It’s actually kind of like how the Germans flock to the Nordsea because they don’t have a sea and everything gets bilingual there to (if only Hitler would have been satisfied after annexing holland but no he wanted the whole world and now the germans don’t have a sea except that little bit in the north) So even if you don’t speak German you can still go there!
As you see in the picture Winterberg is happy place where people get shuttled around in funny blue and yellow public transport, on the slopes in winter there is a ongoing who-has-the-funniest-hat competition and they mix cola with fanta. You should go there. It’s great!
